George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff, born around 1870 at Alexandropol, was a bright star shining on the Earth until his death in 1949.
He synthesised the Islamic and Christian teachings, giving Western man a method of self-perfection. Gurdjieff’s aim on the planet
was to wake people up and he hoped his system for the harmonious development of man would help people to perfect themselves
as rapidly as possible.
