Ignorance
Editors’ note: Ignorance is the most insidious negativity. It keeps people blind to the fact that they are three-brained beings, and to the third force of the Work. Horrendous crimes are committed from ignorance. We are all ignorant to some degree, but ignorance is never an excuse, in a court of law or inside oneself.
Modern man is almost entirely ignorant of true awareness of his physical body and even more ignorant in his emotional centre. Sensing brings awareness of our physical nature. What a person sees and dislikes in another will, most often, be a reflection of his own emotional state. It is commonly thought that intellectual ignorance is easy to detect, but what is normally taken as intellect is, in fact, the formatory apparatus which works on a lower level, from memory. Seeing the ignorance of the intellect is a little like pulling oneself up with one’s own bootlaces.
To overcome ignorance we need to break out of our usual way of thinking, doing things differently to combat the inertia of mechanical habits.
