Editors’ note: Insecurity is one of the many aspects of fear. Negative anticipation and fear of rejection are common hallmarks of insecurity. Children are insecure when they lack love and as most adults are only children inwardly, this is the main cause of their insecurity. All insecurity comes from identification with the body as oneself. The only real security we can have comes from God. If one becomes steeped in love for God, developing trust in God, then insecurity will disappear.
