The Bhagavad Gita teaches that action is better than inaction, but that one must not be attached to the fruits of action. To carry this out – to serve – you should see what has to be done at any particular moment and then just do it. To serve is to emulate and work in harmony with the Sun, which shines on saint and sinner alike, and the Earth, which produces for all.
